FACILITIES Cory Farm is a dairy (milk producing) farm. We have a herd of 150 cows, which
are milked twice a day.
Guests are welcome to explore the farm, see the calves
and watch the cows being milked.
We have 267 acres of land which is farmed extensively
(with low livestock numbers) and much of which is linked to a Countryside
Stewardship Scheme.
Under the scheme, land is farmed without the use of
fertilisers or pesticides and only grazed for a limited part of the year. The
aim is to encourage the return of species of flora and fauna which cannot thrive
under intensive modern farming conditions.
We have introduced ponds to encourage wildlife and
pathways in order that the public can access our land. There are several such
footpaths over Cory and it is possible to walk from the farm, across fields,
through our woods and right out to the cliff edge in as little as 20 minutes!
We do advise guests to bring comfortable walking boots
and of course the proverbial wellies for the farmyard!
